Betsy D. Chandler was born and raised in Morris County NJ. She graduated from the
University of Scranton in 1988, and soon after began working alongside her mother Irene Card at MIC Insurance Services. (Although at that time the company was known as Medical Insurance Claims Inc. The name would change years later to MIC Insurance Services.) Betsy is a licensed insurance agent in the state of New Jersey, and specializes in Medicare Supplements and Group Health Insurance.
She co-authors with Irene Card, a column on Understanding Health Insurance which appears in
The Suburban Trends,
New Jersey Newsroom (online newspaper) and other distinguished publications. It can also be viewed on
this website.
Betsy is currently a member of
National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU),
Denville Community Church – United Methodist, and serves on the Board of Directors for the
Denville Community Church Nursery School. Her past affiliations include: the
Tri-Boro Chamber of Commerce, the
Executive Association of New Jersey, and the
Butler/Tri-Boro Rotary Club (president 2001-2002) where she was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow.
She currently resides in Morris County with her husband Terry and their daughter.
