Group Health
Insurance
(For New Jersey based companies)
Group health insurance is offered through an employer. It is usually
less expensive than individual health insurance, and often offers
you more choices in plan design and coverage. We offer health
insurance for both large (50 or more employees) and small (2-49
employees) groups.
In order to qualify as a small group as defined by the State of
New Jersey you must:
|
► |
You must employ between 2 - 50 employees. |
|
► |
Be a legitimate
company providing a product or service and have a tax payer
ID number. |
|
► |
Meet the participation requirements of at
least 75% of your employees being covered under the plan.
(An employee may waive the right to coverage if he/she is
covered through a spousal group plan ie: If you have just
one employee who is covered under his/her spouse's plan, you
are still eligible for a group plan.) |
Benefits:
| • |
Group health insurance is usually less expensive than
individual coverage. Comparing dollar for dollar, group
coverage will offer a wider range of benefits than
individual coverage. |
| • |
Greater flexibility in plan design: Plans can be
designed to meet the specific needs of your group, while
keeping the premium in line with the employers’ budget. |
| • |
If you are looking to offer additional benefits to your
employees, you may wish to add ancillary products such as dental life or vision.
